Midway Flames Softball

Flames fast-pitch Softball is a girls recreational league for ages 7 to 18 that compete against other surrounding softball leagues. They also travel to local parks to play outside of their Midway field.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

FRIDAY, April 5th, 2024

Registration will close Friday, April 5th, 2024. Any late registrations will incur a $25 late fee after the above closing date. 

Refunds will be accepted through Friday, April 5th, 2024

There will be a nonrefundable $25 administration fee per refund. If the season is canceled for some uncontrolled reason. We will assess and determine a refund or credit based on the time or time left in the season.

Age the child is on 12/31/2023

8u 7-8 yrs old

10u 9-10 yrs old

12u 11-12 yrs old

14u 13-14 yrs old

16u 15-16 yrs old

18u 17-18 yrs old

All Ages are $325


Practice and Games

Where and what time are practices and games typically held?

Practices are at the coach's discretion as all Midway BSA Affiliated coach's are volunteers. Practices are held based on their availability. Due to no lights and limited field availability coaches may practice outside of Midway fields at surrounding neighborhood parks. Normally coaches practice 1 to 2 times a week.

Games: All games are scheduled before the season starts. The coaches along with the league coordinator will discuss the schedule and TRY to work around coach's conflicting dates or life schedule.

Season Starts

When does the season Start/Finish?

The season starts in Late March with player evaluations and the player draft. Practices will start after the coaches draft a team. The playing season usually start late April/Early May weather permitting.

Season Ends Early to Mid July.

Uniforms

Are uniforms provided?

Yes, Full uniforms are provided and consist of Jersey, Pants, Belt (if pants require) socks.


Zero Tolerance

Parents/Coaches will need to accept the Zero Tolerance Code of Conduct Agreement in order to register their child

Extra Costs

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

Players will have to provide their own glove, bat, bag, cleats and helmet.

No other cost beyond registration fee. Unless you would like to buy spirit wear. Spirit wear is on sale regularly during the year. Please see concession stand

Fundraising

Each family is required to participate in the MBSA “Parent Double Play Raffle” fundraiser. As part of the registration fee each player will receive $50 worth of raffle tickets. As this cost has been included in the base registration fee per player, the tickets may be sold and the proceeds handled at the family's discretion. Families keep the first $50 of raffle ticket they sell. The raffle prizes will be awarded in May. There will be additional fundraising available for families upon request.
